the good news:  the local bait shop had minnows (i was able to get the eight i wanted)

the bad news:  i ended the morning with the same 8 minnows

the water was pretty dirty, and a lot of floating debris.  at 7 this morning the water was real choppy from the wind.

the guy at the bait shop said that the fish have'nt been hitting the top the couple of days, and today was no different.

hopefully scwafish with have a lot better luck this afternoon.

weather permitting i'll give it a go again on monday am.

Wow!  Is that a bad report from Mendo?  Well that's not what I wanted to hear.  I got my fingers crossed for Sean this afternoon.

Hopefully you two will have better luck tomorrow.  Sean is a much better fisherman than I.  I am new to kayak fishing and am still learning the ropes.  Also, I only had a couple of hours this morning.  That pesky work thing!  Don't let me get you down.  Sean knows the lake well!!  Let me know how you do.

Steve:  You will be triumphant, hang in there.  Ever figure out what kind of line that was on your reel?
