So I want to get a second kayak for the kids to use and still being somewhat of a noob I can't figure out what would be best. My kids range from 13 to 18 I have a hobbies outback that I love but would like to get something used as a spare any recommendations???

My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

I would not get a tandem, I have one and they are not that good for fishing and when the wind picks up it is difficult to get around.
That used Ocean Kayak would be good or wait and see what they get in the used kayak sale at Headwaters coming up month.

It is a lot easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission.  Tell her it is for quality time spent with the kids.   :smt002
