Bass Lake-2/24/13

So I'm gonna hit up Bass lake on sunday, plan on launching from the wishon boat ramp around 8:00 to 8:30 in the morning or later if other people want to meet up and go.

I'd planning on going.

Anybody else up for Bass Lake on Sunday?
I might be able to make it ... Wont know for sure till Sat.
The bite has slowed the last few weeks, but still quality fish to be had.
Most of the fish are concintrated at the south/east endof the lake (near the Dam).
best bets are spoons and wedding rings in the top 20 feet.

By the dam and the private docks on the south east side is where I killed them last Sunday, not sure on what effect this storm is gonna have on the fishing, but I plan on finding out  .

I was at Bass Lake today.  I hope it is warmer for you tomorrow.  A bit of red seemed to be the color of the day today.  I caught some on a needlefish that looks like a bleeding shad and a small jointed Rebel with some red on it.  On the surface- no dodger.  Some PB's did real well up there today.  I managed a few on the shore to the east of the ramp and NW of the ramp in the mouth of Wishon cove.  Good luck.

I hope it's warmer too, but if it is it will only be by a couple degrees, so far the coldest I've fished from a kayak has been 27 degrees and I've stayed warm, but then I've fished in 50 degree weather and froze.

I was at Bass lake today also, and caught my first fish from a kayak. Thanks to Aaron, he showed me what he was using and and within 30 minutes I had my first fish. Had a great day on the water ( I mean I didn't fall in ). I will write a post and properly introduce myself later.

Had a nice time today at Bass Lake with Joesmoe.  I caught a nice one and lost a nice one, and I think Joesmoe limited out.  Interestingly, we both hooked up once while drifting with one line out while changing the other lure, and both of us lost those fish at the boat.  Oh well.  The one I lost was on an original rapala f7, black back, chrome bottom, and a red mark on the chin.  The one I caught was on a wedding ring knock-off with a bit of proworm on a stinger hook.

I had a good time, and the weather was perfect.
