I'm also looking for a 2011 - 2013 Trident 13 to upgrade from a Pescador 12.  Are the Tridents more stable for ocean conditions than the Pescador 12's?

Thanks for the offer Carl, and the warning fishcomb. Here is the deal... I just bought a yak (OK T-13) from fishing addict, however that is for my wife. We have to try that one out for a bit and see if that is what I want, the inflatable kayak I have now is just not the way to go. . At least we can yak together for now.

Can anyone answer this question: Is there any difference between the 2010 and 2011-13 T-13?

I was looking all over a week ago and could not find any information on google or this forum. I was probably using the wrong search words...

So, I will still be looking for one, however I am not sure if I will go for a "seconds" OK. When I start looking for a yak for myself I will start calling around to the stores that support this forum first.

Thanks!

Loren

A couple items that I know of are the Rod pod cover vs. mod Pod, added skid plate, and upgraded seat. Pictures below and in 2011 they started providing these. If you purchase a kayak with the rod pod and want to upgrade to the mod pod its an easy swap and run around $75. Just as an FYI the 2011 Prowler series Tridents came with the skid plates and upgraded comfort seat but still had the rod pod instead of the updated Mod Pod.

Well if that is the only difference it is not much. Thanks!

The new boats have a different foot rest system also.

Um ... I think the T15 foot rest has always been different than the T13, and I don't think there has been a change in the T13.

And I think you guys may be referring to the Prowler 13T.  The 13T designation is a line for big box stores (like REI).  It comes with the rod pod, not the mod pod.  The Prowler Trident 13 comes with the mod pod.  I know, very confusing.  We've given this feedback to the factory many times.  Hopefully they see the light and makes things clearer.

I never could figure out the terminology when I first started looking. The whole Prowler 13 with the "T" after it made no sense. Their website does not even mention it... confusing.

I have a barely used 2010 T13 for sale. $750 with seat, fishfinder, and paddle.

The footrests are larger and different sliding system.

The T13 is a very stable kayak, tracks very well, and performed very well in all categories for me. If I were looking for another one, I would be all over Rock Hopper's deal.

Thanks. After paddling a few different kayaks this week-end I'm a little hesitant to sell my T13 now!

The T13 is the best paddling kayak IMO.  I been to several Bay Area Paddle Fests and demo'd other brands.
Great layout and features.  Performs great in sloppy conditions.

Thanks for the feedback on the T13. I'm getting one soon as I sell my new Pompano 12.
I bought a WM Pompano 12 recently and it seems adequate out in SF Bay, but it seems a bit small for rough water.   I hope to sell the Pompano 12 so I can get what I really want, albeit a lot more $$.
The Mod Pod looks like a nice feature keeping the gear dry during surf launches.
I sold my Scupper Pro five years ago and it was a solid yak on the ocean.
Will the T13 be an upgrade to the old Scupper Pro?
