Definatley a great time out even though no one hooked a keeper.  I told Scott we were hoping to get lucky but he knew it was a recon trip for the most part.  It was good to see some action and hopefully the fish will be more plentiful in the coming days.  Joel I will have the p15 for you tuesday. come by after work and pick it up!

It was good to see Skyboy out there too. Hopefully the weather and water will cooperate for Rockfish opener>

hooked something big and it broke his line after several minutes of a fight. Maybe a striper.

...this is starting become a trend...

2004, jdyak hooked onto a BIG mytery fish - he fought it for 30 minutes and lost it near the yak....
Colm hooked on to something big last year and lost it by the rocks....
Last year, I hooked into something big - right by the nipple - it took off and snapped my line.....
In 2004, I also broke off 3 wma trolling on the South side of the reef.....

WSB? Halibut? Striper? Salmon? Thresher Shark? :smt017

KayakBuilder - is that the Sabalo ?

Scott
Scott,
Yes, designed by Matt Laggenfeld of JEM Watercraft. I sent him lots of construction pic's to post on his website, as well as, design improvement suggestions he incorporated into the drawings. My project kind of put new life into the whole SOT concept (wood construction) applied to kayak fishing purposes. There is only about 10 built so far. Someone in Australia is currently building one. Someone in Massachusetts is starting one. Here is the website link:
http://www.jemwatercraft.com/
A older man came by at launch to get info as if he was going to build several.
Ten people came over at landing to talk about it, so I was serious about it attracting women.

Nice conditions!  That will be too cool if you are able to do the triple of salmon/RCG/Ling.

IT's good to see that someone is getting out.  I don't suppose anyone wants to see pictures of our new pavers/base board/drip system etc????

Pat......just plain jealous

Wow, looks and sounds like a great time was had!  Was really hoping to join you guys out there.  Unfortunately, I thoroughly sunburned my legs :blob8: on Saturday and was trying my best to sit still on Sunday.  Couldn't even think about putting on a wet suit!
