Conditions were great...flat, slightly overcast until about 10:00, no wind until noon, minus tide at launch and lots of action.  Unfortunately they were all dinks, short hits and bait stealers.  Burned through all of our bait in no time with nothing to show for it.  Funny, last week we had dozens of leftover bait that we released when we came in.

To get more bait James and I came in to get our cast nets and sabiki's.  I tried to throw my cast net from the yak with no success.  Threw it each time a bait ball appeared on the FF.  I did see a bait ball at the same time James caught a jack smelt on his sabiki...I guess that thing actually works.

Went to make some bait at MLK Park but by the time I came back to the ARW the wind came up and everyone came in.

Cast of characters: JTF, James, Craig, Nate and myself.  I'll let everyone else chime in with their reports.  Good to see everyone and I'm looking forward to the rockfish opener.

Different player, same tune.  Some scratched baits, and a short 'but.

Way nicer out there today compared to last Sunday.  If I wasn't so hungry, I might have been down to go back out when Gary returned with more bait!
