Have you guys personally tried the case? I'm interested in buying a water proof case but still haven't found the right one. Lifeproof cases has poor review so I'll pass on that one  :smt012.

Ok, I'll reconsider it. Did you do a waterproof test yet?

I have a lifeproof and have no complaints.  And I did do a water test, they instruct you to do one before you put your phone in it to make sure it is still good.  It comes with the instructions.  You put the case in a thing of water and put an object on it to hold it under for 30 minutes.  I left mine in for an hour.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

Loved my Lifeproof for the first 11 months.  All the rubber on the side of mine is falling off now at month 12-1/2.  Glued it all back together with CA but it looks to be falling apart again.  No abuse, just use in/out of my jacket & pant pocket.  Kinda fustrated but it lasted a year (barely).

I have a lifeproof.  When I bought it and installed it on my phone I was pumped, until I actually made a call and couldn't hang up cause the protective screen had a bubble in it that didn't contact the screen.  I emailed LP through their customer care address and didn't hear anything so I took it back to Best Buy and they replaced it no questions asked.  About a week later I got notification from LP that they received my email but had a system error and my ticket number couldn't be found.

I've had the new case from best buy for about two months now and I'm noticing the protective screen isn't contacting the phone screen again in teh same spot.  That and the headphone jack won't allow anything but the stock ear bud connector or the LP connector to fit into the slot.

I'm switching to the otterbox armor series as soon as they come out, lifeproof gets a thumbs down from me.

I've had the LP iPhone5 case since it came out and haven't had any issues.  I like how there's a lanyard loop on the LP iP5 cases so you can clip it to your PFD/kayak while OTW.

To use any earphones OTHER than the stock Apple ones, you have to use the earphone adapter that LP includes with the case.  My other BIG complaint is the failure of the LP case to work with MOST power/charging cords or docks on the market.  Other than the stock Apple, I only found 1 charger cord that will work with the case after trying ALL of them from Best Buy, Radio Shack, Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, Lowes, Home Depot, etc.....

I LOVE the fac tthat the case works for water protection BUT there are some pitfalls to the design/adaptability with aftermarket stuff.  I am still a little pissed that it didn't last beyond a year under normal to light use conditions.  I always placed it inside a Plano watertight container when on the boat/yak just to be sure.  That case includes my car key, phone, drivers liscense, healthcare card and a little cash just incase of an emergency.

I do use the adapter, and its a pita having a little pig tail either constantly attached, or having to keep it with me for the random times I wanna listen to music.  Not that the apple earbuds are bad, I just prefer the deafening thump of my full earmuffed headphones and LP didn't make the jack opening wide enough to use anything else.

Hmmm I'll pass with LP cases. I'm currently at HITCASE Pro, optrix hd, and morphi outside still deciding which one to get. If you any input for these product will be appreciated, thanks.
