Very nice!  Just be careful.  With the total lack of mental health facilities available for those in need, many of the people living on the streets are severely ill and can be very violent and dangerous.  There's no question that direct aid like you provided provides the greatest benefit but it also takes on the greatest risk.  Be safe!

I was inspired by Matt's post so I spent half the day cleaning up the garage/storage and donated 2 big bags of clothing to Goodwill.  :smt023

Mr Matt,

Thanks for doing something selfless and positive. We need more of that kind of giving.

Thank You Mr Matt, you've shown me that I can and should do more. Mooch i like your idea. Dustin, your 100% right. I'm gonna take a bunch of stuff down to the shelter. It might be a little out of date, but it is good quality.
Vote em out!

I too was inspired by Matt's post.  I cleaned out my closet and donated a bunch of stuff to our local thrift shop that supports mental health services.  I guess my 6th year in retirement makes it time to shed all of those work clothes.  I know dress shirts, suits and ties aren't  good for the homeless but hopefully they can provide a little money to help pay for mental health services for someone in need.  Thanks again for the inspiration Matt.

After I posted on facebook  ( inspired by your actions) there was a few agents in my office that brought some blankets and clothing for me to take to the shelter then my office manger posted  my actions in the office e mail and a few more people brought more stuff and now the Solano association of realtors is doing the  blanket drive.
a lot of people are going to be warmer and everything started by you going to the liquor store.

Thanks for the inspiration.

That's awesome.
I went back and checked on the homeless folks. They are now permanent there which is upsetting the business owners. That sucks.
And they don't have the two quilts I brought them anymore. That sucks also.

Glad to see folks getting involved. Good on you Scuba.
