First time out fishing with two from my Hobie Outfitter.  I took my fishing buddy David with me and he was able to hook and land two Rainbow Trout.  The largest was a fat 16"  two pound-er. He was using a large Seps flasher trailing a small Rapala  The weather was perfect for this time of year, calm and sunny.  The lake was a little muddy, but fishable.  The fishing was really slow with zero fish taken by the three boaters we talked to and only one bank fisherman hooking up.

Thanks for the report.  I am not a Collins fan, but most of my fishing buddies swear by it.

Does anyone here fish Collins for bass? I have only been there once and i didn't get to fish but i was itching to throw some swimbaits. I bet that the first night and second day after a plant would be exciting. I saw those 2 chunkers they have mounted in the store.

Every year a few big bass are caught there. I saw two floaters in one day easy 6-8 lbs. minnows of course work there. Rip baits, cranks, plastics all work when the water warms a bit.
