Generac transfer switch kit provides a safe way to feed power from a portable generator to essential appliances or circuits in a home or business during a power outage. This kit comes with all the essentials to complete your installation including a 30 amp transfer switch, a 30 amp non-metallic power inlet box and 10 foot power cord with L14-30 ends. The pre-wired generator transfer switch accommodates 6 to 10 circuits, and can be used with any portable generator up to 8000 watts. Installed like a subpanel in a basement, interior room or garage, the transfer switch will accommodate essentials like furnace, lights, refrigerator/freezer, kitchen, well pump, television, water heater, garage door opener, security system and home office. It comes with standard circuit breakers, so if your needs change, more breakers can be added to accommodate up to 10 circuits. If your installation is going to be inspected, this transfer switch accommodates Arc-Fault and GFCI breakers to meet current codes. Wattmeters provided to help you balance loads to prolong generator life. Designed with standard circuit breakers, this transfer switch can be easily expanded or reconfigured to suit your needs. Includes two 15-amp 1-pole breakers, two 20-amp 1-pole breakers, and one 2-pole 20 amp breaker. A 2-pole 60-amp main breaker must be installed in existing load center (not included).
