Hola everyone, time to check in. GREAT SITE!I'm Ron Perry, age 56, from Oakley. Long time freediver, fisherman, surfer...addict of the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez. Just picked up my first kayak, a Hobie Outback from Adventure sport in Oakley-Big Break.
In the past 38 years I have owned two inflatables, and about 10 power boats. I also acquired my Coast Guard issued NEAR COASTAL 25 TON license. I have made 36 trips to lower Baja for fishing, diving and surfing. Never flown...always drove down.  I am planning on a 6 or 8 week trip to Baja's east cape when my present jobs ends...with my new kayak.  Maybe in the near future retire down in lower Baja.
Still love to freedive the northern California coast, as far as Shelter Cove, south all the way to Ft. Ross. Already learned a ton from this site, and I need to learn more,...how to rig my Hobie, good sites to put in up the coast, and who knows what else. Gota go to dinner, hope to post and learn more soon, Ron

Welcome aboard Ron! With your credentials, it should be an easy transition into the kayak/fishing world... until you get gut hooked by the madness!

Tight lines, hope to fish with you soon!
