This group is pretty good about dispelling old wives tales.. I just read about boletes staining blue and still being edible.

PG&E's profits are largely independent of usage. In fact, PG&E gets incentives to reduce usage (see http://www.pge.com/myhome/myaccount/rateinfo/howwemakemoney/)

This is a persistent myth that should be put to rest.
