Left the house Friday to hit the gym at 5am and it was the most beautiful, warm morning.  Everything was tugging at me to shine work but that wouldn't have been a good idea at all.  So, i convinced Kim and Dave that we had to be on the water today at 5am to observe sunrise.  It wasn't too hard because she has a new yellow Marauder that calls her name at night, it's true love.

So we showed up at the harbor 5am at least and by the time we got in the water, the fog had somehow managed to invade our scene.  Not to worry, paddled out carefully to the lighthouse to try the halibut drift with really no expectations.  Kim hooks her mandatory ling first thing (and released) and we wandered around aimlessly collecting a few small rockies but not much encouragement.

They left but I stuck around dragging dead squid, even tried a BDM (big dead mackerel).  Got a nice bite back at the lighthouse, C&R (cried and released) a beautiful cabezon.  Sun came out, heard a lot of chatter from the pb's who managed a few flatties.

Beautiful morning, back about 1130.  Can't wait for July 1st!
