I think I might have totally screwed up my fishing Season for 2013 !
Yep, I know I did!!!  :smt011 But sometimes you have to carry through with an idea and this time my wife challenged me to not sweep it under like I usually do. So I can put some of the blame on her.  :smt058
I have been working in the Sanitation Industry for 33 years. So wow, I have seen a lot of things progress and change over the years. A lot of cool experience's to boot. So I thought , WOW ! Wouldn't it be cool to start a forum for us all to BS on and network a little. So that is what I did on a rainy weekend December 1st. The forum went online on the 3rd. I am up to a whopping 29 members ..lol  This is a lot of work, but I am having a blast with it right now. Need to FISH asap !!!
I hope some of you guys will show the LOVE and check it out soon. Maybe even tell your Sanitation guy or girl that we have a site to share on.  :smt007
That would be much appreciated. I know that I will be asking Mr. Bill for a few tips soon as well. Hope he has something to offer. I am learning this as I go here.  :smt103

Thanks ,

aka-Kimo, gman, Darin or what ever you want to call me..lol

Good for u!

Love ur wifes pun about not sweeping under the idea of a sanitation discussion board lolz.

I noted u have 17 different boards.  Ncka currently has 21 or something. But it didnt start out so diversified. In fact im sorta nostalgic for the cleaner, simple layout, w less options.  At least you can collapse some of the ncka boards so you dont look at the ones you never read.

Hope it takes off and becomes the ncka of sanitation, or even better.  All you need is some good content, a little time, SEO, and ull be off to some nice little hobby income.Happy for you dude.

I might have to join up....in the same industry just on the truck maintenance side......nothing smells better than replacing a floor in a tar waste truck. Yay.

Kayak James,
You would be welcome with open arms ! I am working on getting more of the Maintenance side of it going for sure. I have plans to do a short video/interview with the Garage where I work, regarding the challenges they are faced with when it comes to Sanitation truck repair.

I appreciate all of your responses and support on my little project. I hope to get more content from other members. That is the only way it will pick up speed. Otherwise I will be doing all the talking. But with close to 33 years at it, I have a ton of crazy stuff I could go on and on about.

Thanks again !

I never worked in the industry, but sold parts to them. The owners son drove a truck ( kinda ). He left the bin up on the truck. And brought some phone wires attached to a cross arm, to the yard. But the best one he did was to tear a wing off an airplane at the local airport.

Wow ! I bet that plane wasn't a cheap fix ! Yep, I have a ton of stuff to post about some past screw ups guys did. But I sure won't post anything my current coworkers did on my site. But were not on my site right now...lol :smt003
So here's one! A guy I still work with who does the Roll-off drop boxes did a number on the foot bridge by Hwy 1 & Mission st. He dropped a box over by King st., forgot to lower the boom and hit the bottom of the foot bridge coming back to our yard, taking out big chunks of concrete and totally messing up the truck. It happens. :smt013
I saw pictures a number of years ago, where the same thing happened near Pheonix AZ. But that driver died. He knocked the foot bridge off its center support and it came down on his cab. I might google it for my site. Lessons to share with new drivers !

Thanks for the support,

aka-kimo, Gman

On the East Coast that is very true! In fact, a NY St, Senator (woman) comes from a family well know in the Mafia. Forgot her name. Ya, her family owns a ton of things there in Sanitation and the Clothing Industry. They keep a tight rein on things there for sure. :smt011
