GG Crabbing Tuesday 12/11 (Non Yak)

Took Carioca out today for some crabbing. Left Alameda around 0830 and the ride out on the bay and also outside the gate was beautiful. We pulled 10 pots for 4 quality limit. As we pulled our last pot, there was a grey catamaran (looks like F&G) steamed by us and stopped about at least 400 yards from us. The next thing we knew there was a CG plane approaching really low from the north and they dropped some flare (smoke) just right next to the catamaran. Trying hailing them on 16 and 22 to see if we were in a restricted area setup for their exercise but no answer. Overall great day on the water and with some fresh crabs for dinner.
