Striper Seminar at Headwaters Kayak shop 12-5 6:30PM

Hey Guys. I'm trying to get better at posting these things up ahead of time. Sorry for the last minute post. Jim (Rockfish) and I are teaming up to try and get more people into the club and fishing inland freshwater events. Jim is doing this through his work with Fresh Kat's and events like Port of Sac, and we are showing our support by sponsoring these events and offering free siminars here at Headwaters Kayak Shop. Our goal is to create new kayak anglers, and support them as they grow, and also fuel the stoke for those of us who already have the madness. It is also very important that we teach folks to be good stewards to the resource. Even if you are an experienced kayak angler we welcome your input and support at these events. So come join the fun as we do our part to help spread the MADNESS!

Come join the fun as Headwaters Presents another free fishing from your kayak Seminar. This time we will be focusing on Stripers, in light of our December 9th Port O' Sac Striper Tournament: http://www.facebook.com/events/504973159527863/?ref=ts&fref=ts

Jim Meier, event director and close friend to the Headwaters Fishing Team will be giving the presentation. He will be going over Kayak rigging for Striper, tackle and bait selection, regulations, and as always how to fight and land the fish from your kayak. It's always important to us that you know how to keep both you and the fish safe during the excitement of landing the big one.

We are working on a headwaters fishing team PodCast. Something basic that gets the info out to the masses. We have got this request a ton so I guess its time we listen.

Here are some Striper pics from the past year. The first two are taken by my buddy Mike Burton at Little Potato Slough, caught on a square bill Sexy Shad. The last one is a photo I took of Drew Gregory from his visit in June. He caught this one at the confluence of Cosumnes River and Mokelumne River and he caught it on a jig while fishing for bass.

I haven't dug up my striper photo's yet, but I do have some door prizes for the seminar...

Just a bump to remind people about Rockfish's Seminar tomorrow at Headwaters Kayak shop. We have teamed up with Scott Strain from Rod Mob to record a sound bite for their Pod Cast as well as video to share on Youtube for those of you who can't make it. Jim (Rockfish) is bringing some Rod Socks to give away as a door prize. We are expecting a packed house so be sure to get in early. Please bring your own chair, and snacks are welcome if you feel like sharing with the group.
