all that needs to be done is to mount the yak attack rail with provided screws and its done, I would help if I was in your area.

I run basically the same set-up on my Tarpon 140.  The Piranhamax 170 is a solid entry level fish finder.  You should itemize the costs on all the pieces as that is where the expense comes from.  It all adds up to quite a bit of money.  Pretty much designed for those who do not want to do much/any drilling on their yak.  Having an external transducer gets you accurate depths but also temperature.  The sonar thing is the transducer and it is attached to the end of the swing out arm.  You can swing the arm up and out of the water if you are in grassy areas or when launching/landing/transporting.  The battery is a bit overkill for the very power efficient fish finder so you would be able to power other accessories if wanted.

Hope that helps.

there is a 8" rail with a few screws. The rail is attached to the top edge of the yak and that is all the drilling needed, the rest is already built/assembled and ready to go. Takes 2 mins to set up once you have it all mounted and placement figured after the first time. If your yak is new enuf to already have a rail then no drilling at all.
