Black Rockfish Right Below the Yak

Some footage from late October 2012 Lost Coast rockfishing:

Pretty cool there, makes me remember one time when were on our way back to the harbor in Ft bragg after an ab dive, we spotted some fishes on the surface and stopped to take a look. Found big schools of nice sized blacks in the top 20 ft of water (it was about 60 ft deep).  Slipped into the water with pole spears and collected a mess of rockfish to go with the abs.

Nice those things are fearless.

There were huge schools of blacks/blues all over where we fished last weekend.

Hope I can find a day like that where I have my gun with me.

so cool! grab a gun and you could spear a limit from sitting!
