I've got a Ford Expedition which is similar in height as your Suburban.  My Brother and I both have Pro Anglers and usually use a Harbor Freight Trailer to haul them plus two others on trips.  I've had some problems with the trailer at the Tiki Lagun tournament this year.  That road is full of pot holes and one of the pivot  points broke.  I've had it repaired with heavier gauge metal on both sides and will keep my fingers crossed.
The trailer makes it so much easier to launch our PA's and would recommend this way for you.
There are times that we need to car top them bacause of towing a boat.  Because the weight of two PA's is greater than the recommended specs for two yakima bars, I had to add a third bar.  I used to use the saddles and hully rollers but it is too hard to push them on.  Now I use PVC bars and they slide right on.  The Bars are Schedule 80 PVC electrical conduit and are very sturdy.  I made a loading ramp that connects to the bars and can load it by myself if I have to.  Here are some pictures:

Thanks for all the pictures I like that car top idea. I don't really have a place to store a trailer right now so I'm going to try and make something work for the top. My only other option is just to continue throwing it in the back with the hatch open and tied in place.

Yes, when I took the Mako saddles off and used the 4" pipes instead it was still hot enough (mid summer) in the storage facility that the 4 dinner plate sized dents from the saddles were completely gone by fall.  I only strap the PA to the trailer when I am using it, otherwise the straps are off and the PA just sits on the trailer while stored.  The two main reasons I used the 4" pipes was so I could get my hands inside the pipes to tighten the U-bolts that secure the pipes to the cross bars and to keep the PA up high enough so it would not contact the cross bars.

You can drill the holes for your U bolt all the way through and use a Uni Bit (step drill) to make a larger access hole above to fit a deep socket through it to tighten the U bolt.

Hi Craig,
That's my cart I made to transport my Aircraft Carrier.  I used it this year at the MBK tournament.  I used an exercise stepper as the platform and the Big Wheeleez on casters.  I put retractable legs to stand it up to load and used Kevlar straps as anti reverse brakes to prevent rolling backwards  on ramps.  What is nice about this is I can balance the PA at any point and have very little tongue weight to lift.  Pulling through sand is a different story!  I don't usually have a need to use this often because off loading from the trailer is the way to go.
