It's the 5x dsi that's 279, the elite 5 dsi is also on sale for 399. Those are GREAT prices for those two units. Hell they're almost the same price as the 4's

+1. Check the max depth on those DSI units too.  I believe they have a limited range as compared to the regular sonar.

I believe the max deepth in PERFECT water is 200'.  Testing has resulted in about 60-80 FOW in salt.  I'm in process of performing a hands-on comparitive test over the next few weeks based on Regular vs DSI on the Lowrance units.  Hope to post my findings soon.

Dsi is hard to see fish at depths of 60' or more.....they will just look like specs.... regular sonar is a better all around unit.... but dsi is nice when used for finding structure which is what is actual made for....and that is a great price you posted there.

I played around with the demo units in Sports Chalet in Pleasanton.  This was a year ago when they had the 5 inch models.
Now they only have the Elite 4 models on display.
