fished 9-12.  a lot of downrigger experiments, but some actual fishing time! both fish in the last hour.

2  13" trout on trolled size 5 shad rap. both had a big 3" shad in their stomach.  white flesh, but fat ones. pretty good
fight on the 7' UL. I forgot my net, so landing took a while. I was wondering if lexington had shad, I guess it does.

Saw kenkickfish and another kayaker with downriggers, they were getting fish on dodgers and worms near the ramp.

A fish followed my worm up to the boat back in the narrows, it was pretty good sized, switched to the shad rap
and that proved to be my one good move. while I was tying on the shad rap, a fish hit the worm just sitting
next to the boat! did not stick tho.

Awesome.

I wish they would put shad in Loch Lomond.

LL must be the poorest managed fishery around.

Word is that they are gonna drain Lexington.  Maybe we can get them to transplant the shad to LL...

I am guessing they will not totally drain it.  The fish may survive. Or a lot of them anyway.

It is a few feet lower already tho.  stained but clear.

Mol, ken hooked a big bass today, he fought it for a long time, but his trout line gave way eventually.
