12/5/2012 at McNears pier

I went by there the last two days to check out the action. Yesterday two sturgeon were lost.
Today I was there at about 3 PM and saw one guy bring in about a 51 inch dino and I caught a 23 inch Striper. It looks like we will be having fun ths weekend as the tides are getting good.

BTW Ranger Jim took my pix and then we released the striper

For sturgeon fishing there do you cast out or do you just drop it in?

Cast off the pier OR bring your kayak and launch there. Either way it's free this month. Both fish were caught on Mud shrimp.
