I bought and started using my Humminbird ff transducer a few years back before I  knew you could upgrade, I had it mounted through the hull for years with goop but it started acting up so I pulled it out, it stared at it for a while, then went to Home Depot, the pictures are self explanatory, I used G-flex epoxy for the bond of the transducer tothe sink stop.

Very nice and easy. I turned some HDPE on my metal lathe to mount my transducer, it was alot of unnecessary work.

I like the simplicity.

Test your mod to make sure water drains through it rapidly if you surf launch.

Thanks Jedmo, still going strong! And again have to emphasize how much increased sensitivity there is over through hull I had previously. I don't think I will ever do through hull again.
