jason, I'm ready to try the get off, hold the bowline, wait for the break in the sets, jump back on and make it out method.
I'm no navy seal, but I bet I could make it out there! although even surfers worry about getting in sometimes,
the shorepound can be deadly and from the sea, it's harder to read.

today my friend Leo, "the dumbest smart guy I know", (cause he's a rocket scientist Ph.D., but you'd never know)
went surfing and didn't make it out.  that doesn't happen very often, maybe once a year, but it was pomponio beach
and low tide and a fairly tall short period swell. So it's not only kayaks that get denied.
I passed on surfing today and fished lexington. very relaxing. freshwater is cool, no rinsing everything!
