On a calm ocean day, there is no better place then Gerstle Cove -- short hike, short descend, short swim to get to abundance of abalone.  Today is such a day!

Sky was sunny, air was warm, and ocean was flat like a mirror.  Tomorrow looks like much the same.  Get out there if you want to enjoy THE BEST condition you can possibly get.

I really like Gerstle Cove also.  Such a beautiful pamoramic view.  Which area did you dive?

South Gerstle parking lot, hike north parallel to shore about 70 yards, descend to shore about 3-4 stories' height, and swim straight out about 40 yards.

I never dove anywhere else but I imagine they are just all over the place.
