* I actually lived in my Euro Van for a month. I parked right next to the local Dennys. Then I 'd drive about a couple of miles to my gym for SSS (sht,shower and shave) and then straight to work. I truly enjoyed the experience...and if I still had the van, I'd have no problems doing it again 

Mooch Merry Chrismas to you! When I weas a yound pup my uncle had a van like that and he traveled all over the US with it. Thought someday I'd do it too but that never hapened. I did go all over the US but I was in the back seat of a military cargo plane. A bit faster with all the comforts of home . I still wish I had one of those VW's too.

The original vanagons are out there Find one blown up and do the subaru conversion.... So nice... $30k though

here's one that you rarely see....

  That Euro Van is pure luxury compared to my old 64 , Split windshield.   hahaha.     I lived in mine for about a year roaming from Yosemite to  HMB.    Ahhhh the memories.

Ach ja, the memories...when I was 12, my dad took a sabbatical leave from teaching high school. We were going to tour the Europa!

We went to the VW factory in Wolfsburg and picked up our camper. Pop-top, zip on tent attachment, the whole deal. We spent 6 months driving/camping in Europe then shipped it home. We did death valley, big sur - great times.

I think I'd really enjoy one if those vans again!!!
