Since OC looks to be blown out, I may try Santa Cruz on Saturday, 10/20. Leaving Vallejo around 0530 hrs.

Saturday: Variable winds less than 5 kt becoming W 5 to 10 kt in the afternoon. Patchy fog before 11am. Mixed swell...W 4 ft at 11 seconds and SSW 2 ft at 14 seconds becoming SW. Wind waves around 1 ft.

what time you getting off the water.target species?
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

I think I might launch from Mitchell Cove and pothole the beds up to Nat Bridges.
Labyrinth of stairs so may hve to go with a short boat lol.
May get tempted to troll around.

first time out in a while, but the forecast looks very sweet.  holler if you see either a Caper, Trident, or Adventure lol.

Where you launching from?

I may meet up.  Still trying to decide if I wanna make the trip to Monterey or Carmel.  Defiantly fishing Saturday though.

I would love to get out, but I am sidelined with fall chores.
My gear is still in a big salty pile from last week.

You could always drive a little further south and fish with me.

Originally I thought to launch at Ocean Cove to scout the area for the TRM tourney on the following weekend. When I realized the wind and swell would be more than I should attempt solo, I thought of SC because the weather report looked more favorable and somehow I thought you were unavailable this weekend. Now, I am told, that someone has committed me to grand parenting duties, after all, so I won't be launching anywhere. I'll probably just take the grandkids to Petaluma for a couple of stops and then to Ocean Cove to let them romp around on the shore, then return to Vallejo to turn them back over to their parents. It's my wife's birthday celebration on Sunday, so I need to food shop, procure a gluten-free chocolate cake, and prepare her favorite lamb dish for dinner. We patriarchs get pressed into service unexpectedly at times. Perhaps we can connect weekend after next.
