Only on AuburnTroutDudes ride would you find this. Was afraid to pull it out for fear of popping his tire.
That thing is WAY in there!

I don't repair tires :smt044 :smt044 :smt044
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

It does not look like it is far enough in to cause a problem. I had a drywall screw in mine yesterday. Did not go far enough to hurt it, but I have big lug mud tires on my truck.

If that leaks it's considerd unrepairable , being on the sidewall . That tire looks like an off road tire so id say it will probably be ok .

That's a small tire big pic and side walls are totally repairable the state dot won't let tire shops do it anymore ten years ago you could get a tube but not in this state anymore I've had plenty of sidewalls fixed you have to go to a old school family owned tire shop that knows how to do it.

If the guide destroyed any of the cords supporting the sidewall the tire shouldn't be fixed . That is an accident waiting to hapen. Patches don't like to flex . Can they be patched ? You bet .  I just wouldnt on my vehicle.

I pulled it out an hour ago (it was a guide), and no loss of pressure so far.  I have the best tire guy in the greater Sacramento area.  As it happens, the tire shop owner is a relative of Bunny and Frank.
