OK I picked up a West Marine Pompano 120. For the most part there is not much left to do. It included the following:
Tankwell with rigging, deck rigging, 2 flush rod holders, 1 Scotty mount, paddle park, anchor trolley system.

I picked up a high back seat, Scotty rod holder with an extension, anchor, cheap paddle, paddle float, small 1st aid kit, paddling PFD, a cart my Malone, and milk crate. I raided my dive bag for a 7mm farmer john and boots. I also have an ICOM M32 handheld VHF radio. Is there anything I'm missing here?

I'm looking into a fish finder maybe a Hummingbird  385ci, but I don't know yet.

I've practiced self recovery & using the paddle float with the kayak NOT rigged for fishing

I plan on fishing in the Crystal Basin Lakes, Folsom Lake, Lake Natoma, American River, and Sacramento River. What does everyone do when it gets colder say late fall early spring?

Perhaps a splash jacket...but you have the bases covered.  Consider purchasing a good paddle - makes a big difference.  I use and like the Aquabond carbon fiber paddles.  Welcome to the madness  :smt001

QRAS- quick release anchor system.  Raid your dive stuff for a dive knife and strap it to your vest.  When it starts getting cold around Sac I throw on the waders.  For the salt I have the FJ wetsuit.

Your all set man, time to get that baby on the water.
