I took my new Maruader out today, and Im in love! It is so cool. It paddled very nicely, got up to a fairly decent clip without too much effort. It tracks pretty good and is fairly easy to turn. Lots and lots of storage- thats the best part. No more leg cramps from being jammed inside of a sit on top. Today we fished for halibut out of Santa Cruz Harbor, no luck. I did catch a very nice ling cod, which of course I let go. Lots of king fish eating all of my squid. We had a new guy with us today named Flip. And flip he did, I dont know how but somehow he fell off of his yak- a Prowler 15. THe good news is he was able to get back in very quicky, which is great.  Of course I missed the whole thing, too busy reloading squid. Halibut seems to be an elusive fish for me, listening to channel 69 didnt sound like anyone else had much luck either. At least the marine forecast was wrong which was nice, it was really calm for the better part of the day, no wind and tiny swell.  I will be most anxious to find out how my new boat does in the wind and some surf, which is where the rudder aspect has always come in handy.  So far I give it an A+. I will be selling my plastic version of the Perception Corona if anyone is interested. Its a closed deck but a nice ride. Anyway, can I just sleep untill July 1st?
