I have noticed the last few trips that the AI drifts really fast with the sail completely reefed making it difficult to stay on structure or kelp tie. I have been peddling into the wind but it hard to maneuver in tight locations. I was thinking dropping anchor and casting might be easier. Interested in how others handle this and seeing some anchor or drift chute rigging.

I used one a few times on the revo. It's in the front hatch of the AI. I am guessing I would use a line running from the cockpit to the bow so I can quickly dump and re rig

I just picked up a small one and I'm going to get a bigger one too. Researching shows it's best to run two instead of one, and different sizes. I'm planning on setting it up so the AI will drift sideways. When I was on my revo I was the drift sock, but with the tramps in the way you need drift socks in the wind. Given that it handles the swells so well, you need to be able to slow your drift to take advantage of the seaworthyness.
