Fished 5 hrs or so through the high tide with a dozen or so other boats just outside the harbor mouth about a mile. I watched one WSB landed and heard of a few others but none for me. The real action was on Friday from the sounds of it.

Most action I saw was a fast moving Minke Whale surface and blow within a hundred feet or so of me. And a 12-15 lb salmon chased my bait to the surface one time, turning and leaving a big boil as it sounded upon seeing my yak. Not the target so would not have been legal anyway making it less of a heartbreak, despite all my recent yak salmon fishing efforts. Still some decent sign and activity with squid apparently still present.

Saw a couple other NCKA peeps on the inside by the reef horse in a nice Cab right as I headed out. Another friend in a dingy had a long-line release on a smooth hound shark. How did the the SC folks do?

Nice meetin you out there yesterday.

It was a weird bite for me, nothin on my red fly, chartruese swim bait setup so I decided to try something wacky, put on a rock cod rig w/ 2 zoom 5" pearl chartruese twin tail bass swimbaits....hahaha...bam got a couple of nice blacks...weird.  Moodymike nailed a 6 lb Cabby that took him down on the rocks, epic fite!  He also got some underlings and a nice black.
