Though my father is still here, I always try to be in the moment because he's an old timer and could be gone at any time. Like your father, Eric, mine instilled in me a love and respect for the wild places and specifically the Pacific Ocean. Have a ripping day at the Cape. I'm looking to spend some quality time there when the next window opens. I need to spend some time in that place in the worst way. Shannon

Forecast improved back to original:

 .THU...W WIND 5 KT. WIND WAVES 1 FOOT OR LESS. NW SWELL 2 TO 4 FT AT 8 SECONDS. PATCHY FOG.

...but it could change again.  Cape = always expect wind.

Sounds like Rob, Tony, one of their buddies, Chuck, Domenic, Nick and I will be the Cape Crew for the Chi Trip.   

The energy will be intense kind of like you   Get Some!!!

My brother is really into all kinds of energy mediation I did it for a yr strait every day after losing every thing it helps...got to get back to it...that quite place... he gave me a stone necklace that when I put it on I got goose bumps all over my body...felt like I had drank 4 cups of coffee...when asked if it did that to him he said "no" with a let down look...like dammit I should feel that also...


Have fun tomorrow...if this was 3 weeks from now I'd  be down in a blink getting some Chi!!!

So here's the forecast for this evening:

.TONIGHT...W WIND 5 KT LATE IN THE EVENING AND OVERNIGHT... BECOMING VARIABLE LESS THAN 5 KT. WIND WAVES 1 FOOT OR LESS. NW SWELL 5 TO 7 FT AT 8 SECONDS. PATCHY FOG.

Sounds reasonable enough with light wind and 5 to 7 foot swell, but the buoy at the Cape is running 8.9' at 10 seconds right now, and it was 9.5' two hours ago.  I have faith that it'll drop quickly by morning and throughout tomorrow, but we could be riding a rodeo ocean tomorrow morning at launch. 

I have a bunch of fresh chovies to bring to the show that Tony and I caught at the harbor

 .TODAY...WIND VARIABLE LESS THAN 5 KT...BECOMING SW 5 KT LATE IN THE MORNING AND AFTERNOON. WIND WAVES 1 FOOT OR LESS. NW SWELL 4 TO 6 FT AT 9 SECONDS. AREAS OF FOG EARLY IN THE MORNING...THEN PATCHY FOG IN THE AFTERNOON.

Buoy still 6.9 @ 11 seconds - could be a bumpy one.  See you guys later.

We have one old 8mm film of my dad, camping at Dillon Beach in 1967, I didn't see it until 40 years later. It was a short clip maybe 20 seconds, but I still cherish that visual.
