My new Prowler 13 should arrive within the week.  It is my first boat and I am planning how to configure it to fish.
I have decided to add 3 rod holders: One in front of me and one on each side behind me (the same place OK puts them on the angler eddition). I will put a stand up type like the scotty 230 in the front position next to my ff but am not so sure about the back positions.

- I like the flush mount internal holders from the standoint that they are out of the way but have been warned thet they place the reel much closer to the water and expose it to the salt too much.

- I like the adjustability of rod holders like the Scotty but fear it getting in the way.

Any suggestions or additional pros/cons of each?

Check my thread in the manufacturers forum.

I just rigged my prowler 13 and fished it this last weekend.  I am very happy with the results.

I used a scotty rod holder on the forward mount and 2 flushmounts on the rear flushmount holders.

Of course I also added 4 rod holders to my tackle box.

What angle flush mounts did you install:  Straight, 15 deg, 30 deg.
