2007 Hobie Outback - edit $1,000

Ah fuck it. Just PM'd fishcomb but I'll just say this publically and get it over with.
I bought it from Jim, and since both of us are Hobie noobs, neither of us realized its actually a 2005 and not a 2007. I guess he got taken by the original seller. I realized this when I checked the serial # after I got the 'yak home, and after I paid him and all, and I didn't feel right asking for money back.
Therefore I'm dumping it on CL and back on the hunt for an '07 or later.
If this crosses any lines I apologize, but I'm doing what I feel like I need to do.
There's nothing wrong with the yak, but I was too dumb to read the serial number before I paid for it so I guess yell away at me.

There is nothing wrong with that man.. A mistake was made and if anything it would be put back on the seller. It sounds like an honest mistake. GLWS

Don't blame you there Fishcomb. I would think the same thing.

not sure how I feel about that, but its the market I guess...

I like it, but I like the stability in the post-06 models more. I'm chubby and have terribad balance..
The money im making is pretty much equivalent to the gas I spent getting it if that makes you feel any better.

ehhh its his boat now and he's selling it on CL...so I don't see any reason why asking more is an issue. I have my PB on CL for a
"high" price. I'd sell it for less to an NCKA'er. I figure the CL prices has to account for all the idiots that call and never show or ask dumb questions. like "will you sell just the trailer or motor?"

we're cool, the pic is changing and I got what I was asking for it.
I never checked the #'s and just assumed it was an '07 since thats what the guy I bought it from said.

I was wondering the same thing when I saw that on CL.  Good to know that it wasn't any funny business.

I have a pre-06 outback and its pretty darn stable in my opinion.  I've had it out in lakes plenty of times and in the ocean 2 times now and its solid.  However,  I haven't tried any post-06 outbacks to compare it with.
