Having Trouble With Big Lings

It sounds like either your knots are not done properly or your line is old or brittle and breaks at the hook when you apply pressure. If you feel the bite,set the hook and quickly take up the slack until you feel tension, then work 'em to the top!

Guess thats why its called fishing. I reeled in a nice ling last saterday @ Trinidad, had something big double my rod with the rod tip and about two feet of rod pulled underwater and the line snapped. To me thats as good as putting one in the sack. Also landed three nice blacks, the largest 22 inches. Its a great sport that I started this year at Shelter Cove. Ill be out there on the water this wednesday the 13th at Trinidad.
