Fishing near Seattle, WA

I'll be in Seattle from Sept. 13-17 and have permission to fish 1-2 days.  Any tips on where to fish around this area (within 1-2 hours away)? - I want to fish for halibut, salmon, or something in that caliber.  I was hoping on renting yaks and fishing somewhere OR getting on a charter boat if the bite is good.  I'll post up on NWKA too and thank you in advance.  - Jason

Grew up in Issaquah near Lake Sammammish.  Its a great place to fish for kings and silvers when they are moving up.  Good population of smallies too.

Theres no shortage of places to pier fish on the Sound from Tacoma to Everett.  Im sure the NW guys can offer more detailed help.

I will be up in seatle that same time and am hoping to get out for some salmon, butts, or RF.  I have access to a boat and I think I will be going out Sunday the 16th.  Not sure when or where I will be going yet have to do some research and talk to my soon to be brother in law.
