Well it was a long weekend so I will start at the begining, Saturday got up out of the camper and noticed some wind and I started to get a little worried so we loaded ouor dive gear and headed off to scout some spots, Water was way too rough to get to the super secret spot so we decided to go to school house creek its always doable, so 3 fast abs and one little but legal cabezone off the water in 1 hour, next was to go out of noyo harbor and launch the crab traps, launched from the beach and paddled to just inside of the green can and let em loose paddled back to shore and went back to camp, after a little rest packed up the wife and kids and headed up to cleone lake for a little trout action for the kids, my son riley caught 2 trout and then passed out on the picnic table so we decided to call it a day went back to camp and cleaned abs and fish for dinner good stuff.
Sunday woke up early and saw the ocean was still a little too bumpy so we hit glass beach for some fast abs I wanted to swim to the outside ther but it was too rough so we stayed inside and made limits of 8's in about 1 hour no fish to be shot. Went back to camp and grabed the clam gun and bucket tossed the kids and wife in the car and headed up to 10 mile river for some clams, water in the river was a  little choppy but we were able to make one limit of 50 new england soft schells in about 2 hours. it got windy and the kids were freezing so we went back to camp and made a big fire next for me was to go retrieve the crab traps from the harbor kids were sleeping so I went by myself on my paddle out I noticed something strange party boat fishing right out the harbor near the wistle bouy, not wanting to get that close to ask them questions I pulled my traps for a limit of dungies and tons of almost legal ones. I paddled back into the river because I wanted to see the party boat catches so I paddled over to the rumblefish and got their report, everyone limited and to be sure I paddled a little further to inquire the Lady Irma about there catch they also limited out the salmon are in close to noyo harbor too bad I live so far away.
So anyway I went back to camp and had a mess of seafood to clean so I got right on it and was done in no time, then It was my turn to cook th crabs so I boiled the water in my turkey cooker added 1/2 cup vinegar and 1 liter sprite I find this to be the best. and by the time im done dealing with the crabs everyone was already eating how rude10 other people and they would all rather eat then help me.
Monday woke up and the water was flat calm and no wind at all so we hit the super secret spot and made limits of 9's the biggest was 9.5/8 big deep sucker got our abs quick and headed back to camp for the tear down.
good weekend in all cant wait to go back

I thought you were vacationing.  Man it sounded like it was non-stop for you.  I was going to go over on Monday but the NOAA report said it was gonna be windy.  (DAMM FORCASTS).

Great job. It kind of make me mad at myself, as I lived in Fort Bragg for 7 years and NEVER got clams or crabs. I did a lot of ab diving, but no one ever showed me how to get clams. Now that Fort Bragg is still only an hour away, I'm going to make it a point to get over there as much as possible. That is as soon as my new Kayak comes in...hint hint....Sean (Squafish).

CHEERS!
