Thought i would post this separate from the Albion post for all to view.

I guess the best safety gear to bring on the water would be Ben and/or Dustin!

Great job boys taking control of the situation and getting our brother out of harms way! :groupwave

Another great video. Thanks for posting G.
Something I wanted to mention. After watching the video I noticed some guys had jigs swinging freely in the air.
When you reel up and put the hook of your jig or swimbait in one of the rod eyes it has a tendency to come loose, especially in heavy swells or choppy water.
I once had a loose hook on someone elses pole swing and snag my jacket. I had to cut a patch of the jacket as the wx was too sloppy to take the time to work it out.
What I do to prevent this is put a small velcro strip at the base of my fishing rod. I have one strip on every rod I own.
When I reel up and put the hook into one of the rod eyes, I take the velcro strip and wrap it just above the hook/jig around the line and rod. This way if it does come loose it won't swing around.
It's a simple solution for what could be a catastrophic problem; hook in the eye, neck, or into someone else.
You can buy a pack of the Velcro strips for a few bucks at Home Depot and cut them to length.
The pic below is of two rods I was fishing on Thursday to give you an idea of what I am talking about.

Great video Glen and good safety tip on the velcro Tote!  I find that happening to me too once in a while even though I have it hooked to one of the rings.   Sure don't want that hook to hook me or anyone.
