Driving home from buying my son his "big boy bed"  I noticed a large dark patch in the shore line.  Birds working and my heart was pounding.  Long story short, tons of bait, chovies even washing up on the beach, 5 seals having a field day.  45 mintues with my entire arsenal and not a thing. Seals were right in the break water. Usually a bad sign.

The bright spot is there is tons and tons of bait.  If the wind lays down fishing might be pretty good.

I watched you trolling out there while my big boy and I flew the kite and collected ocean glass. I can't believe you weren't hooking up! Same for the surf casters at the north end. It's gotta happen soon...

Actually I was the surf caster.  I don't know who was in the Kayak.  Maybe the seals were spooking the fish off the bite.  I have seen a few stripers eaten right in front of me. I could swear the seals were laughing that day.  Today not even the seals had fish.

Jason, thanks for that report.  I'm gonna head out there in the afternoon one day this week.  Maybe I'll target anchovies.  Anchovies are delicious. :smt005  John
