Petaluma wins!

The final score is 6-4. The team goes on to its next game Sunday Aug. 19 at 11 a.m. Pacific time, against the winner of Game 4 which begins at 5 p.m. Thursday -- either Kearney, Neb. or Goodlettsville, TN. The game will be televised by ABC and ESPN 3D.

If they lose that game, they play again on Monday. If they win, they play on Wednesday. In this tournament, teams have to lose twice to be eliminated.

Go TEAM,  Pretty exciting stuff !!!      The first Northern California team to advance to the World Series since the Aptos Little League did it in 2002.

I coached Little League in Petaluma when my son was growing up. 8 years up to senior league. Then he was done and went the wrong way. It was so much fun. We were in the Valley League. There are 3 leagues in Petaluma. Valley, American and National. When my son was on the 12 year olds we won the district 35 championships and my son won a game pitching. Fun, fun, fun

Heres a twist on the National League. Their whole park has been leveled to build a GD Target store. They are the oldest league in Petaluma. The park they had was really antiquated so I hope they get a new one built before next season. We used to take the dogs running over there and catch a game now and then. My son-in-law played on the Nationals when he was growing up. Hes 31 now. Hometown history man. You gotta love it. Go Chickaluma!

They have a new one Craig. Baddest in Petaluma. It's at Petaluma Jr high. 3 brand new fields. I wish I could have played on something so nice! My 8 yr old is playing there now.

Saw a segment on A's postgame the other day that one of the kid on the team is a beast at 6'2" playing. They are getting so much attention right now, it must be a ride of a lifetime for them boys.
