I run a Cannon on a create. This is my set-up on my Malibu 2XL (2 seater). It works great! I'll try and find the pics I have.

If you are running a Scotty Lake Troller, you can get a conversion kit from Scotty to convert it from a clamp mount to the standard post that will go into any Scotty mount.  I did that with both of my Lake Trollers.  I believe they are about $8.00 plus shipping from Scotty.  As far as I know they are the only ones you can get them from.

Thats great info, thanks!  I had two of the clamp mounts that i wanted to make into post mount ones. I called scotty and they said that they would send them to me..they said at no cost but I'll see.  I didn't give them my credit card info or anything.
