ling ling mbk 8-3

caught this one slippin and he hammered the fish trap. 8 pounder on 12 pound med/lite spinner rig and he bent the main shaft.its toast but he is cieveche    drifted squid 6 hours and nada for the butts.

Thats a chunky one there, must been a great fight on the light gear,

It was brother . I first thought O no he is to big for this rig.Eased of the drag and kept the rod loaded and when I got him to color his mouth open fins spread he dove hard.I put the rod in the water backed of  the drag and let him go.Worked him back up and he slid right in the net.My biggest ling to date in the yack.Took I guess 20 minutes or so but felt like an hour.
