Shirk,

Great report! That's a pretty spot, I dig that fish. I'm looking forward to catching some of those with you later this year.

As for my day at MBK, 4 small rockfish.   :smt011  I'm cursed.

Keep going out and find out where the sheephead are! I want me a sheepshead!!!

Scott

Goats shrimp off the tips of the mission bay Jett's. Watch the swells. Or zugunda jetty in the big bay. Bring some peas for the opal eye while your out there too.

Jbaker - Thanks a lot for the info.  I'm heading out there again this week.  Others have mentioned a dropper loop with frozen shrimp deep in the kelp too.  I'd like to learn enough to actually target them once in a while.

I used to love catching opaleye off the rocks of alligator point just south of La Jolla Cove.  So tasty too.

Excellent info

Thank you

Scott,

I took off from an easier launch spot.  It adds about 10 minutes more paddling each way but I paddled over some great areas for spottys and possible halibut too.

Lovin' every minute of it!!!
