So friday the 27th I was there from 5am til noon paddled for days trolling no nothin' then skewered weighted and drowned slowly some worms and then gave up (poor lil bastards).
Loading the truck an old man pulls up for what he called "dinner" after a a history lesson of his life he pulls out this old fenwick stick with a real from the twentys or somethin' old braided line the white stuff a #2 hook and yes a worm...
mind you im strapping the yak and the guy not there bank fishing in the same cove for five minutes...
fish on... 17# cat...  ten minute fight... Really?
He say's Rollins FISH all of them browns, bass large and small, crappie, bluegill, rainbow and cats like worms... soak a worm.... the trick is no weight, braided line, #2 and a worm... they filled a "dirt" canyon with water so their natural diet includes worms... he says they prefer them...
he was 75 years old...

Last night I raided the worm bed...
today the 28th i will be there... testing this advise with home grown NITRO WORMS yes the highlighter green ones...
BLUE GMC WITH HUGE TIRES AND A RACK WITH YAK'S...
rollins lake road to you bet road that leads into LONGRAVINE campground ass you get to the top of the hill the road leads to the campground the dirt on the right leads to a cove easy launch or bank fishing...

So sorry! The fish are hit and miss right now. 20' of water off points will generally produce bass. Try going in @ greenhorn on the other side. More fish there... Let me know when you go. I could take you on a Power boat tutorial trip on Rollins. Secret place also available just up the hill... Ask me next time you see me. I'm in Weimar
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!
