New Bullards bar res this weekend. boat camping 48hrs of fishing. Tips? info?

We are taking my brothers boat there and haven't fished it before. Won't be in the Kayak but will have a radio on Ch 69 if your there...any advise or secret sure fire tricks to get my son on fish (he is recovering from wacko wife splitting  ) Sat morn till sun evening OTW 

My advise. Lock up your stuff. Wacky Senkos, drop shot morning dawn Robs. Probably 30 plus feet. Just a guess. Look for crappie in the flooded trees in coves. Trout up north arm trolling.
