7/15 - What a dump!

W.T.F. I drifted the Stanislaus River from McHenry to Ripon for the first time. Garbage every where. Sorry, just gotta vent, don't under stand people who go to spend time in a beautiful place with friends and family, and then leave garbage there when they leave. I feel sorry for you guys on the AR, gotta be 100 times worse.
Any how, the fishing was good, 13" strippers every where, caught to many to count. Seen larger fish, but couldn't get any takers. Good time in numbers.

I hear you. I spent a night on whiskey slough last week it was unbelievable how much trash was left behind. I normally see the delta from the water it does not look as bad but from the road it looks terrible.

I was on the Stanislaus River on Sat, but from Knights Ferry to Horse Shoe. There were a lot of beer cans and bottles on the bottom of the river.

How is the water down there: current, temp...?

Water was cool, don't have a FF yet so don't know temp. Would guess it to be in the mid 70's. Water level was down from two weeks ago, 2' maybe, so nice easy current.
Was clear until a PB went buy, twice, and muddied up the water and shut off the fishing for probably 1 1/2 hours each time till water cleared back up. Ditto, on the cans
and bottles, plus a lot of garbage pushed into the trees.

What about you, any luck?
