Whiskeytown 7/18-7/22

Annual family camping and hitting pumphouse area early morning and late in the day for the duration of camping.
Play with blue gills mid-day
Hoping to see other yakers

Normally there is a school of Brook trout in the creek area, but we haven't seen them this year. I will try to make it out Fri, or sat evening, and I will bring a extra fly rod just in case.

I heard there was a good bite on rainbows just upstream of the powerhouse last weekend, but I've been too busy playing with the Shasta salmon to bother with Wtown.  I'll be salmon mooching again this evening (non-yak) in case anyone wants to get out.  Nice yellows by the way, those are on my bucket list!
