any one going for salmon out of Orville driving up after work Friday 7/20 fish all day Saturday 7/21 launch about 6;00 ramp at the afterbay

I have never been up that way but I hear lots of good things about it. I am down to try next weekend if nothing else comes up.

sounds good should be a nice paddle i don't know if the flow is up or down but its usually not bad

I take it you are talking about the Coho salmon.  Man I would be all over that, but I'm heading down to PIF next weekend.  Any other time I'm there.

I know, but can they be caught in the Afterbay?  I've never really fished that area although it is in my backyard.

I think he is talking about launching on the river at the ramp below the Afterbay. At the outlet. You can only fish downstream from the ramp. Watch out for the 250' closed area at the outlet also. Do not fish the area when you launch there that is calm upstream.  The flows are pretty high from what I have been hearing and seeing.

That makes a little more sense.  I've never fished down there because I have heard stories of the combat fishing down there with the guys fishing from the shore.

yes below the outlet they have two ramps there one on each side you can not fish at the outlet but just down stream from there its all good

May be interested in joining you up there. Haven't fished the feather in a few years but I remember the monster salmon in there, used to fish a spot called the "gold mine" near the afterbay area, it was a big dredged out pit that the river flowed into, a bit like lake fishing. It's off of Ofir rd. Anyways I'll let u know a's the week gets on if I can make it

ill be in a blue GM stepside i start fishing just down river from the ramp i think they painted a line on the bank were you can legally start fishing past
