Here is a YAKRAK that I built for my Toyota P/U. Wanted to do it in Aluminum, but it would cost a lil too much for me right now. I still have plans to weld on some hooks for extra tie downs. I also decided to drill and bolt it to the bed of my truck, since it won't be coming off and on.

A couple more. Only the 1x1 support bars, ones at a 45 degree, are TIG welded, the rest was done with MIG. I used a friends MIG, and its and older unit that produces a lot of splatter.

It looks super clean and great looking welds too. I've been learning how weld. I have yet weld anything that looks so clean and uniform. May I ask roughly how much the iron cost you?

Thanks everyone, it will get used this weekend!!! It is very strudy, but I didn't use standard tubing, so factory accessories won't fit. Of course I can just do some more modifications so they will fit.

I used flat black rattle can for paint.

It cost me $90 in steel. I could have saved $20, but chose to have all the pieces cut except the 1x1 45 degree pieces.
